BeschrijvingSchotel van Chinees porselein. Versierd in famille verte email. Voorstelling van een vrouw wandelend in een tuin, bij een hek, een grote taihu (tuin) rots en een pijnboom. Een klein jongetje hangt aan haar gewaad (lange lijs met zotje). Op de rand vijf cartouches met bloemen op een gespikkelde ondergrond en vijf cartouches met respectievelijk een lelie, prunus, aster, pioen en orchidee twijgjes.
De versiering is een klassiek voorbeeld van de lange lijs met zotje. In Nederland werd dit uitermate exotisch gevonden. Het stond model voor talloze imitaties en variaties op chinoiserie versieringen.

Decorated in famille verte enamels with a Chinese lady strolling in a garden near a fence, a large taihu (garden) rock and a pine tree, a small boy behind her grabbing her garment. The rim with five cartouches on a speckled ground with flowerheads, respectively filled with lily, prunus, aster, peony and orchid sprays.
The decoration is a classic example of what was regarded in Holland as a ‘Long Eliza and Boy’, the epitome of exoticism and the model for countless imitations and variations in chinoiserie decorations.
