BeschrijvingAchtzijdige langwerpige en diepe schaal van Chinees porselein op voetrand. Schuin staande, hoge wand; schuin staande rand. Versierd in famille verte email met op het plat een pijnboom waarin twee vogels zitten, bamboe en een bloeiende plant. Om de stam een klimplant. Op de acht wanden bloeiende planten of fruit. De rand met ruitwerk en vier vakken op de hoeken. Twee met een grote vlinder en twee met een sprinkhaan. De achterkant met een pioenroos of een lelie op de acht vakken
Gemaakt naar een Europees model. Diepe dienschalen, als deze, waren onderdeel van eetserviezen en geproduceerd in diverse maten en met verschillende versieringen.
Deep, oblong, octagonal dish on a footring, with straight spreading sides. Some sand on the base. Decorated in famille verte enamels. In the centre a pine with two birds on a branch, bamboo and a flowering plant. Twisted around the trunk a creeper. The eight sides with flowering plants or fruits. The rim with a diaper ground and four cartouches on the corners, two filled with a large butterfly, two with a locust. The reverse with a peony or a lily in the eight panels.
The shape is derived from a European ceramic model. Deep serving dishes such as this were parts of dinner sets and are known in different sizes and decorations.
