BeschrijvingDit is een mooi voorbeeld van de vroege werken, die door collega-kunstenaar Pam Emmerik kernachtig werden getypeerd: “De eerste beelden die Joost van den Toorn maakte begin jaren tachtig, pasten ook echt in die tijd. Fel, rauw en stripachtig, waren ze samengesteld uit heel uiteenlopende materialen als papier-maché, pluche, gelamineerd hout of veren. Ze paarden een heftige uitstraling aan een uitbundige vrolijkheid. Hadden vaak titels van films of uit popsongs. Kortom: ze swingden.” De titel van dit beeld verwijst naar een nummer van de legendarische Newyorkse punkband The Ramones.
